General information

Welcome to the PPSM HelpLine

Our Helpline is a free service.  It is staffed by trained mental health professionals who have the resources that you will need.  Many of our staff and volunteers have survived a Pregnancy or Postpartum Mood & Anxiety Disorder themselves.

All calls, texts, & emails are intercepted by a volunteer trained to support mothers and fathers going through perinatal transition. Within 24 hours, our volunteers will provide you:

  • Contact info for perinatal mental health practitioners
  • Times & locations of support groups & services
  • Phone, text &/or email support, when you need to talk to someone or need encouragement.

Call the HelpLine if you are pregnant, a new parent, a provider treating a mother, or you are a concerned family member of a loved one experiencing the following:

  • Feeling sad or worried
  • Having difficulty sleeping or resting
  • Struggling with troubling thoughts
  • Thinking: "I never thought it would be like this"
  • Or, simply wanting to integrate your new role and identity as a parent
