Understanding Matrescence: The definition, origin and history behind the term

This training will identify the interwoven relationship between the developmental, psychological, spiritual, physical, emotional and social changes that occur during the transition into motherhood.  We will discuss tools and resources that provide support during this transition, including preparation and planning for the postpartum period.

This training is intended for physicians, midwives, doulas, therapists, and other trained professionals who currently support or are interested in supporting pregnant people during their matrescence and especially during the 4th trimester/postpartum period.
