Avivo Family Intensive Outpatient and Residential Treatment

Avivo provides chemical health assessments, substance use and co-occurring treatment programs, and an aftercare recovery program. All are paired with mental health support as needed. This program is only for pregnant women and mothers with children. Individuals receive holistic care that is culturally-responsive and trauma-informed. Fairview Prenatal Substance Use Disorder Program

Located at St. Joseph’s Hospital, we offer Minnesota’s first inpatient substance use treatment program for pregnant women. Along with substance use and psychiatric treatment, women receive care from a team of certified nurse midwives and University of Minnesota Health maternal-fetal medicine providers.
The program focuses on respect and dignity for each woman, shared decision making during pregnancy, and ongoing recovery and maternity support after the baby’s birth. For more information and referrals: HealthEast Addiction Care Services: 651-232-3644

Hennepin County – Help for addicted moms: Project CHILD

This program works to help mothers make a better future for themselves and their children by helping them to get off drugs and alcohol and into a healthier lifestyle. The program is for women who are using drugs or alcohol before their 34th week of pregnancy.

Ramsey County – Mother’s First

Mothers First provides families with prenatal, nursing, chemical health and case management services. Mothers First serves women living in Ramsey County who:

  • Are pregnant and/or have custody of their minor children.
  • Are in, recently out of, or want to get into substance abuse treatment.

Women needing services can self-refer or be referred by friends, family or correctional and medical professionals.  Make a referral by calling 651-266-4111.

Changing Course

Changing Course is a series of educational classes for people who drank alcohol and/or used drugs during their pregnancy. This series addresses many of the issues that pregnant people face. Kendra Gludt or 651-917-2370.

Circle of Hope Support Group – St. Paul

The Circle of Hope (COH) is a support group for women who have used alcohol and/or drugs during pregnancy. These women are lovingly known as “Warrior Moms” because of their incredible strength. Meets 1st & 3rd Monday of the month, noon to 1:15 pm. Childcare & transportation may be available; contact Kendra Gludt at 651-917-2370.

RS Eden Programs & Services

This program is ideal for women who want and need to attend treatment with their children, and for women working to reunify with their children. Participants may also step down to this level of care upon completion of the residential program. Outpatient and residential options & supportive sober housing for families.

Smokefree MOM

This free program is for pregnant women in the United States who are ready to cut back on cigarettes and quit smoking. Sign up and receive daily text messages to support you during this 6-8 week program.
