PrairieCare

This Perinatal Mental Health Clinic and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers hope and healing to women experiencing mental health concerns during pregnancy and postpartum. Services span a variety of diagnoses and treatment modalities. PrairieCare’s Perinatal Mental Health Clinic offers a vast continuum of care utilizing multidisciplinary teams to provide individualized treatment. Located in Brooklyn Center.

When group is in person, mothers are welcome to bring babies up to 12 months of age.

ESTHER Homes is a transitional housing program for pregnant women facing crisis or homelessness.
<p class=””>Women must be 18 or older. They must be working, in school, and/or enrolled in a certificate/training program for a minimum of 20 hours a week. Women in the program are required to contribute 30% of their income each month to a savings program.</p>

A residential inpatient treatment center that helps women who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction or substance abuse. We provide the opportunity for women to address treatment needs and parenting simultaneously. The result is a holistic, comprehensive approach that reaches beyond treatment and into prevention. Includes an on-site licensed daycare for your children up to 8 years old. We offer parenting education and family development during your stay.

This program is available for individuals ages 12-26 who live in Carver, Scott, or Western Hennepin county and is a free program offered by myHealth. Equal Footing is a program within The Family Development Center. Its mission is to address the barriers experienced by communities of color and low income individuals in accessing mental health care. Equal Footing’s services include, in-home therapy, recruiting and training therapists of color and/or culturally competent therapists, supporting women of color led organizations, partnering with community organizations that share the values outlined in The Family Development Center Mission and Vision and advancing public policy that decreases the rates of disparities in mental health care for POC and low income individuals and families.

The Metro Alliance for Healthy Families is a family home visiting program serving parents who live in the nine county Twin Cities region. This program is for parents who are expecting for the first time or whose first baby is younger than 3 months of age. Metro Alliance for Healthy Families staff offers family home visiting and other community resources to families based upon their interests and needs. Family home visits are weekly for the first 12-18 months and continue with decreasing frequency up to age 4. Family visitors are trained professionals from these fields: public health nursing, social work, early childhood development, family counseling, or infant and maternal mental health. Services are free of charge.
