Training: Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder & Adverse Childhood Experiences

This training session, presented by Joy McAfee, will dive deeply into how multigenerational trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs),  and Post-traumatic Slave Syndrome in the Black community impact various aspects of parenting.

Joy McAfee, CPD, is a postpartum doula and identifies as Black. She has experience serving the BIPOC perinatal community. Her professional work focuses on helping families heal, adjust and thrive post birth or post baby adoption. Joy is trained in PMADs and is a vetted PPSM integrative/complementary health provider.
