Perinatal Mental Health Conditions don’t discriminate. They happen regardless of life circumstances, socioeconomic status, race or career.

Those who are on the frontlines are not immune from it’s devastating effects. To honor the loss of a family medicine physician, a member of our perinatal specialist directory, but more importantly - a wife and a mother, who died by suicide in 2021, we offer the Radhika Lal Snyder Postpartum Doula Program.

To support the emotional health needs of Minnesota families during the perinatal period, we are pleased to offer a program that provides postpartum doula support for families in need of in-home support for free to the family. We hope that in-home doula support will help to prevent future families from having to face the pain of loss that can result from untreated Perinatal Mental Health Conditions.

PPSM helped me find a psychotherapist I can trust and helped to be my support network I needed – to talk about being a new mom, a full time working mom, having a strong, healthy body, a supportive and loving wife, etc. I brushed off so much of what I was feeling initially as baby blues and I kept waiting and waiting for myself to be alright. After reaching out, I was immediately reassured and given a plan. This was one of the brightest days I can remember.
